Imran Ishrat is a Senior Lecturer in Operations and Supply Chain Management at Ara Institute of Canterbury, New Zealand.
Imran’s current research interests include transformative and sustainable supply chains, with a particular focus on luxury apparel and natural-fibre chains in the Global South. His work explores questions related to the UNSDGs, particularly SDG 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth), SDG 9 (Industry, Innovation and Infrastructure), and SDG 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). His broader interests include process optimisation and operations management. He teaches in the areas of Supply Chain Management, Operations Management and Industrial Engineering.
